A very effective kick for self-defense is the stop kick, also known as the "jeet tek." This technique involves delivering an oblique leg kick to block or halt the forward movement of your opponent. A similar variation of this kick can frequently be observed in MMA, performed by martial artists such as Jon Jones. Additionally, it is commonly utilized in Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do.
